Kate Perrin, CEO, founded the company in 1994 after working for 20 years in public relations and marketing communications for area associations and educational institutions.
Kate’s leadership roles with Washington Women in Public Relations include serving as the organization’s president and on the board, and chairing the first Washington PR Woman of the Year Award. She also served on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators (DC chapter). Kate is a frequent speaker at professional development events for these organizations and for the Public Relations Society of America’s National Capital Chapter.
Kate is also an active member of the Women’s Advisory Board of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital, the Smithsonian Women’s Committee and the International Women’s Forum.
Kate received the 1998 Volunteer of the Year award from International Association of Business Communicators (IABC-DC) and was honored with the Matrix Award from the DC chapter of the Association for Women in Communications in 2009.
